Faux Finishes

There are swatches below as well as a pricing matrix for finishes that I don't currently have in the gallery now to give an idea of pricing. If there is something that you've seen before and you don't see it here please contact us & we'll let you know if it can be done. Venetian Plaster

Warm orange toned color shown. Color is mixed to desired color. A gorgeous finish. This is a five coat process. See pictures of finished room below. $25.00/sq ft.

Dragging

Colors shown: base is Italian Straw with a glaze color on top of Cedar Chest. $8.00/sq ft.

Ragging Off

Colors shown: base is Mesa Tan and top color is Crowning Glory. $5.00/sq ft.

Colorwashing with an opal glaze and gold squares

Colors shown: base is Wild Lilac with Embellished Blue (colorwashed). Then the gold squares were randomly painted with an Antique Gold. Finished with an Opal glaze. $10.00/sq ft.

Funky blocks

Graphic shapes created with 3 different colors. Using more subtle tones of one single color can create a quite different, more sophisticated look. $20.00/sq ft.

Colorwashing to resemble water

Colors shown: base is Jack Frost. Second coat is wash of blue-green, silverberry (lilac color), and another wash of China Pattern (darker blue). I added "fairy dust" (sparkles) while the paint was still wet and some Opal highlights. $15.00/sq ft

Deep blue with medium blues color wash

Just like it sounds. It's a beautiful look but you would need to have either a large room to do such a dark color or only make it an accent wall. $9.00/sq ft.

Combing (moiré pattern)

Colors shown: base is a Midnight Blue wash. Top coat is Jack Frost. $8.00/sq ft.

Opal pattern

Colors shown: base is Midnight Blue and then I painted a random swirl design with a Opal glaze. Changes in different lights and at different angles. $7.00/sq ft.

Blue and beige wash with gold swirled accents

This finish was meant for a ceiling but could be applied anywhere, possibly in a child's room. $12.00/sq ft.

Turqoise and orange color wash

Can be done with any contrasting colors on the color wheel. This is a very bold finish but is a stunning look. Results in 5-7 different colors (including tones) from using two base colors. $8.00/sq ft.

Sandwashing

Color shown: Currant Jam (partially diluted to sort of look like a wash) over a neutral beige color. $6.00/sq ft.

Ragging Off

Colors shown: base is Baked Stone and glaze wash is Antique Gold that is ragged off. The gold gives the finish dimension. $5.00/sq ft.

Sandstone beige wash

A textured finish using sandstone that can be custom mixed to any color. Combined here with Clair de Lune (a beige color). $8.00/sq ft.

Beige/brown wash

Two color wash using Clair de Lune (beige) and Thoughts of Home (taupe). $8.00/ sq ft ($1.00/sq ft added if a varnish is applied)

Subtle warm wash

I created this using a three color wash (yellow oxide, unbleached titanium & burnt sienna) all mixed with a copper metallic paint to create lots of dimension and shine. $15.00/ sq ft ($1.00/sq ft added if a varnish is applied).

Warm stylized wash

This look is achieved using a four color wash and results in a stunning finish. Colors used: yellow oxide, white, unbleached titanium and burnt sienna. $15.00/ sq ft ($1.00/sq ft added if a varnish is applied).

Blue-green & copper 1/2 circles

This is such an interesting look. Bold and beautiful. This look would make a very rich looking entrance or foyer. $9.00/ sq ft

Green base with combing of copper in 1/2 circles

Another bold look. The copper makes this finish really pop. $10.00/sq ft.

Buttery base with a Bellagio finish in rust

This finish has a texture to it done in rust in a random pattern. The colors used were warm and rich. $8.00/sq ft.

Warm linen

A buttery yellow base was painted and then a rust color as a top coat. The top color was then brushed from top to bottom and side to side to create a linen look. $9.00/sq ft

Crackled moulding

This sample was done using a burnt sienna base and the top coat (the crackled coat) was done in a beige semi-gloss. $10.00/sq ft.

$15.00/sq ft Difficult Stippling, dragging,  stone or brick look and more complex colorwashing (not murals)
$20.00/sq ft More difficult Marbleizing, crackling, custom pattern and 2 layer Venetian plaster (not murals)
$25.00 & up Most difficult Complicated marbleizing, Venetian plaster, custom print reproductions (not murals)
Above pricing is for amount of colors that the technique normally requires, usually only 2 colors. Add $1.00/sq ft for each additional color. More info on terms.
